We provide all the gear you need for certification - mask, fins, snorkel, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, and tank. Marine Life You'll See

You'll see them year-round, but they're most active during daylight hours when their brilliant blues, greens, and yellows really pop against the reef backdrop.

Angelfish cruise the reef in pairs or small groups, and their curious nature means they'll often swim right up to check out new divers. French angelfish and gray angelfish are the most common, with their bold patterns and graceful swimming style. They're active throughout the day and not easily spooked, making them perfect subjects for new divers to photograph or simply enjoy watching. Peak activity happens during morning and late afternoon dives.

Sergeant majors might be small, but these bright yellow and black striped fish pack personality. They're territorial and fearless, often swimming right up to divers' masks for a closer look. New divers love them because they're everywhere, easy to spot, and their bold behavior gives you plenty to watch while you work on buoyancy control. They're most active during daylight hours and can be found at virtually every reef site we use for training.

Yellowtail snapper often travel in loose schools around the reef, and their silver bodies with bright yellow tails make them easy to identify. They're curious but maintain a respectful distance, perfect for new divers who want to observe fish behavior without feeling overwhelmed. These guys are active during the day and often follow divers around, hoping for a handout - though we teach proper fish interaction from day one.
